PEN HISTORY

The Avicenna Legacy pen celebrates the remarkable life and contributions of Ibn Sina (Avicenna), the Persian polymath renowned for his pivotal role in the Islamic Golden Age. His groundbreaking works, particularly "The Book of Healing" and "The Canon of Medicine," revolutionized medical science and education. This pen, released on the 990th anniversary of "The Canon of Medicine," embodies Avicenna's courage and intellectual spirit. Its design reflects the rich heritage and enduring impact of his teachings.

The inscription on the cap pays tribute to Ibn Sina, known in the West as Avicenna, and his celebrated work, The Canon of Medicine.

The Arabic calligraphy presents the book’s title and honours its author with the traditional title al-Shaykh al-Ra’is, meaning “the foremost scholar.” Below it, the date 1025 and the English inscription “Canon of Medicine” complete the tribute.

Together, these details give the pen a deeper meaning: a celebration of knowledge, scholarship and the enduring power of the written word.
